As I mentioned in my previous post, it’s been really quiet here on the blog lately. The truth is it got real quiet here because our lives got real busy.
I thought about listing all the things we’ve been doing and it made me dizzy just thinking about it. Instead, I’ll let you take a peek. And hopefully I won’t be so absent in the future.
(Oh, and we just got back from a big trip out to Indiana and Kentucky. More on that in a later post.)
They both came out quite dramatically. There were lots of tears unfortunately. The one shown missing here was very, very loose when it caught on her dad’s shirt pocket. The second one got knocked almost completely out by her dropping the kindle on her face. (Still not quite sure how that one happened.) It came out later that day. Lots of tears for that one, too.
Then it was someone’s birthday and someone got the best gift ever! I love my little laptop. Can you tell I look just a tad bit excited?
Then, we had Easter and Easter fun with friends. Every year we dye eggs with friends.
Easter day this year was so much fun. The cousins were together and we had a fun egg hunt.
There was swim lessons, a Giant’s/Angels game and just general spring time fun.
I consigned a ton of the kid’s stuff at our biannual consignment fair here in town. This is the most I’ve ever done. I made some cash and I decluttered a lot. It was a win-win!
One of the hilights of the past couple of months was just spending time with family. My dad’s birthday is always right next to Mother’s Day. This year my dad turned 70. My sister was here visiting, so she was able to celebrate with us.
We celebrated my dad’s birthday, Mother’s Day with my mom and sister and then went on a Mother’s Day hike with the Hub’s family. It was a busy weekend!!
The end of May brought the end of many things. I honestly let out a big sigh of relief. I enjoyed all the things we’d been involved in. I was so happy to just be done for the summer and slow down.
A class I was teaching ended, ballet ended, Awanas ended, Lily’s co-op ended just to name a few.
And then we took a plane ride……….. (That’s another story for another time!)
