Have you started your holiday movie watching yet??? Besides the cheesy Christmas movies that are out on Netflix now (which I love!) and the Hallmark Channel Christmas movies, there are a few movies my family loves to watch during fall and leading up to Christmas.
Here’s a quick list of our family’s faves:
This is a classic and we love it! Don’t you feel for poor Linus, waiting all night for the Great Pumpkin and he never shows up!?!
We usually watch this one on Thanksgiving. (My dad loves this one, too.) Who doesn’t love John Candy? (There is one part you have to mute, though. Just a slur of bad words. We are always ready with the remote for that part.)
This may not seem like the typical holiday movie to some; but Andy and I love it. The kids do not watch this one, though. The animation is pretty amazing.
I am a huge Bing Crosby fan. Throw in Fred Astaire with all that singing and dancing. Yes, please!
Yes, we do love our Peanuts characters. This is a classic as well. And it’s educational.
I didn’t miscount. This is the 6th movie; but I had to include it. It’s not Thanksgiving or fall themed but we saw it last Friday as a family and let me tell you…. this was a winner. I highly recommend going to see it on the big screen with your kiddos. They stayed true to the comic strip and the old cartoons. Two thumbs up!
I’ll be back in the near future with our Christmas movie list.
