November Giveaway (And Book Review):: The Nesting Place

I have a new favorite book that I’m very excited to share with you today. Keep reading because at the end I have a special giveaway.

I’m a pretty avid reader and every once in awhile I read a book that I call a “Life Changer.” The book will shift my way of thinking or bring a new perspective in a certain area of my life- in a good way.

This happened to me a little over a year ago when I read Lysa Terkeurst’s book, The Best Yes: Making Wise Decisions in The Midst of Endless Demands(That book is still changing me!)

Well, I’ve read another “Life Changer” by a favorite blogger of mine, Myquillyn Smith. The book is titled, The Nesting Place. I have been following her blog,  Nesting Place, for years and have had her book at the top of my Amazon wish list for some time. I finally clicked on the order button and in a couple of days I received this wonderfully written and insightful hard-covered gem filled with fantastic photos!

She opens with a quote, “A beautiful thing is never perfect.”

That being imperfect think is right up my alley!

On page 17, she asks the question, “Have you given up on the idea that you can love your home?”

Yes, that is me!

She continues, “We want to truly love, appreciate, and use our homes. We don’t want to put a bandaid on something we hate, no matter how cute and budget-friendly that bandaid may be. But we don’t know where to start.”

Yes and yes. I was hooked.

The Nester challenges and encourages you, through her many personal experiences, to love the home you’re in RIGHT NOW. Don’t wait for that elusive dream of a home to make you happy. Whether you own or rent; whether it’s a fixer upper or brand new, you can make the place you are in today be a  home that is imperfectly beautiful.

Myquillyn gives you helpful decorating tips and helps you find your own style in decorating your home. But, this is not just a book about decorating. That’s why I love it so much. “It’s about creating a beautiful, meaningful home that you love.” (pg. 19 The Nesting Place)

This book reignited the love I have for my home. I couldn’t put it down. I want to share this gift with you, my readers. So…………..

I’m super excited to be conducting my very first giveaway. When I wrote my 31Days series, My Best Yes, DaySpring was kind enough to host a giveaway for all of us 31Dayers to share with our readers. This giveaway is all me, though.

I have a brand new copy of The Nesting Place waiting to be mailed out to one of my readers. Click on the rafflecopter link below and enter to win this book. I will announce the winner on November 25th.
