I LOVE that last week we were in Monterey for a homeschool field trip. There are so many things I love about homeschooling; but one, for sure, is the flexibility that we have as a family to travel.
Touching the Bat Rays was Lulu’s favorite part!
We took school on the road last week and we visited the Monterey Bay Aquarium, the mission in Carmel, the Monarch Butterfly Habitat and wait for it……. Bennihana’s. Yes, it was mine and the kid’s first time and the kids had a blast. I’ve already proclaimed it my birthday dinner restaurant for next year.
I’M LOVING that Wednesday I can announce the winner of my very first giveaway, the Nester’s book The Nesting Place. That book was so inspiring to me that I had to give a copy away. Tomorrow is the last day to enter to win so click on over to this post, scroll down and click again on the rafflecopter link.
I’M LOVING that this week Lulu and I are making a pumpkin pie from scratch for Thanksgiving. Or at least that’s the game plan. Before you think I’m bragging here, this is like one of maybe two things I make from scratch…….ever. And I only do it once a year. And it’s only because I have a weird obsession with pumpkins. So see, it’s a sickness really.
I’M LOVING that after today, we are taking the rest of the week off for school. Woo Hoo!!!
I LOVE these books I’m reading right now.
As always, I’M LOVING The Hubs. I’ve had an abnormally hard and emotional week and he’s been so compassionate and patient. He had to leave for a work trip but he’s back tomorrow! We sure miss him.
